What’s this lifestyle we love exactly?

We want to wake up in the morning and stumble to the coffeeshop for a cold brew and a bagel. We stop to chat for a bit because we know the other patrons, they’re our neighbors. We have a few extra minutes to kill so we stroll through the park on our way back to our apartment. What do we have to fear, we work right down the road, it’s not like we’re going to be late for work. We get ready for our day and then hop on a bike or scooter to zoom off to work.

At the end of our work day we want to get some exercise at the neighborhood gym or perhaps stretch it out at the yoga studio down the street. On our way back we stop by the neighborhood grocery store just a short walk away. At night we’ll take an evening stroll to one of our favorite restaurants and maybe even stay late for a drink at the bar to have more conversation with friends. I mean how can you say know when the band playing is some good! Who doesn’t love live music and a good vibe!

We don’t want to waste our time with traffic or long commutes to work. Our apartment isn’t huge, but who cares if you can step outside your front door and there are parks, coffeeshops, restaurants, gyms, local businesses, and other cool public spaces. We’re happy to not spend a fortune on gas or car payments because everything is in walking or biking distance and we prefer to spend our extra money on memorable experiences or our next creative side-project. To us, this is true “Quality of Life”.
